Zoet, warm en houtachtig. Neemt spanningen weg. Goede huidolie. Sandelhout, Wild: is één van de belangrijkste grondstoffen voor de parfumeur: warm, zoet en houtig. Het is ook de basis van de Indiase attars (zie roos en motia attar).Binnen de Ayurveda wordt de geur van sandelhout verbonden met zielenrust. Alles wordt verzacht door de sandelhout: zenuwpijnen, spanningen, depressie. De olie is verbonden met stabiliteit en balans. Een fantastische olie die een meditatieve sfeer kan scheppen. Sandelhout is een goede huidverzorger en is (verwerkt in een basisolie) in te zetten bij elk huidtype. Sandelhout is verzachtend, verbetert de circulatie en werkt als moisturizer.
