Jojoba is één van onze favoriete plantoliën! Het is een belangrijke basisolie en geschikt voor elk huidtype. Bijna alle huidverzorgingsproducten van Chi bevatten jojobawas, en dat is niet voor niets! Het is een fantastische huidverzorger en beschermer die er mede voor zorgt voor dat het vocht in de huid blijft en de huid zijdezacht aanvoelt. Jojoba wordt goed door de huid opgenomen en laat geen vettig laagje achter. Jojoba is huidverstevigend, verzachtend, reguleert de talgproductie, houdt het vochtgehalte op peil en ondersteunt het herstellend vermogen van de huid.   De structuur van jojoba olie komt sterk overeen met die van menselijk talg en werkt talgregulerend. Dat maakt de olie geschikt bij een vette huid, maar heb je juist een (te) droge huid dan geeft jojoba een soort beschermend laagje.  Jojoba is eigenlijk geen olie maar een plantaardig was, geperst uit de zaden van de Simmondsia californica. Deze praktisch geurloze olie wordt ook wel ‘vloeibaar goud’ genoemd vanwege de goudgele kleur.
